Recognition has always been a cornerstone of the Canadian Healthcare Housekeepers’ Association (CHHA), and in 2026 we are excited to launch an all-new, expanded Member Recognition Awards Program during International Environmental Services Awareness Week — September 13–19, 2026. This enhanced program has been designed to provide more opportunities than ever before for members to celebrate the outstanding contributions of environmental services professionals across Canada. From frontline staff and emerging leaders to innovative teams and exceptional facilities, the new awards will showcase the dedication, professionalism, and impact of those who help create safe, clean, and healing healthcare environments every day.

The expanded program reflects CHHA’s commitment to recognizing excellence at every level of our profession. Whether celebrating individual achievements, team successes, quality improvement initiatives, community involvement, or organizational accomplishments, the new recognition opportunities will ensure that every member has a chance to highlight the people and programs that make a difference. We look forward to helping members share their success stories and shining a national spotlight on the remarkable work being done by healthcare housekeepers and Environmental Services teams from coast-to-coast.
